Giveaway Day #1: Rainbow Toys Gift Certificate

We have a few go-to places to find great gifts for kids, and Rainbow Toys is one of them. Nestled among the Shops at Falmouth Village, the inviting toyshop is filled with award-winning games, crafts, children’s books and developmental toys for infants (to name a few). CP#2 regularly visits to browse their incredible selection of LEGO and Playmobil toys.

If that’s not enough to entice you, MP also found some fun Maine made items in the shop. MP’s favorite local discoveries include beautifully detailed, wooden marionettes made by Fish River Crafts in Fort Kent and the cutest wooden hen house from Douglas Rogers in Auburn.

For kids, there are two small play areas and a quiet, reading nook filled with a mix of children’s classics and unique finds. Ours came in with some allowance money and were thrilled to find bins of toys for a few dollars or less.

What MP likes most? The staff at Rainbow Toys is kind and knowledgeable. And, they’ll wrap most anything you purchase for free! Such a time saver!

  1. Do you remember who makes those gorgeous little wooden animals, and that amazing hen house? I’ve been looking for one for ages.

      Hi Chelsea,

Give Rainbow Toys a call, and they can direct you (207-781-4265). A woodworker from Auburn makes the hen house and if I remember correctly, a separate company makes the animals. I hope this is helpful! xo, MP
