Giveaway Day #3: Treats for the Baker from Maggie’s Naturals

Maggie’s Naturals is a new baking products company in Portland, brought to you by the same wonderful folks who founded eco-kids. MP visited with owners Kip and Cammie Weeks last June to learn more about the venture.

In the name of research, the couples’ kitchen pantry was filled with sprinkles of all kinds and colors. The samples provided the pair with the background they needed to develop a product made with ingredients that parents feel good about. The result? All of Maggie’s sugar sprinkles are made with natural dyes from plants, fruit, and vegetable extracts. So rather than questionable Yellow #5 and Blue #2 dyes listed as ingredients, you’ll find veggies like spinach and beets on the label instead.

Curious? Maggie’s is offering a 7-pack of their natural sugar sprinkles (a $35 value) to one lucky winner. To enter, all you need to do is donate to the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital here. Reminder: Under the Tribute Section, be sure to type ‘Cute Potato’ in the box that says, ‘Name.’

Giveaway ends Sunday, Feb. 3 at midnight EST. The winner will be chosen at random and announced on Feb. 14, 2013. Thanks for helping the hospital! Good luck!
