Pumpkin Picking at Spring Brook Farm

One of our favorite new fall traditions is picking pumpkins in our hometown. Each October, Spring Brook Farm in Cumberland hosts a weekend Fall at the Farm event. For one price, families can take a horse-drawn wagon ride to to the pumpkin patch. It’s a short trip, but well worth taking. Even with the weather growing colder, the fields are a rich green, and the trees just beyond are beginning to show their colors.

Once you arrive at the pumpkin patch, the hardest part is choosing. Although one thing is for certain—you’ll be sure to leave with a great big pumpkin for carving.

After picking the perfect pumpkin, families are invited to stay and enjoy the farm. Little ones will enjoy a bounce house and hay bales to climb. There are also farm animals to visit, including the pigs, which are always a highlight, no matter how old you are.
