Mother’s Day is MP’s favorite holiday. What’s not to like about a day devoted to moms and all they do? She has a few items on her wish list this year—all from some of her favorite shops and craftspeople in Maine: MP has admired this necklace from Turtle Love Co. for years now. Their mom and baby necklaces are pretty …
Etsy Maine Gift Guide
MP will admit, there are so many gift guides online, it’s enough to overwhelm even the most enthusiastic holiday shopper. However, it’s hard not to give the talented artisans we have in Maine a shout out. There is something about giving a handmade gift from home that makes the holidays extra special. Here are a few favorites: This nightlight from …
Go Babe Slings and Bird & Bear Boutique
One of the things MP loves most about shopping fairs and festivals is the wonderful, creative people she meets. Over the summer, she had the chance to chat with two talented women—Molly Perry of Go Babe Slings and Lauren Watkinson, owner of Bird & Bear Boutique.
Maine Artisan Bread Fair
MP would travel anywhere in Maine for good bread. This Saturday, the Maine Grain Alliance is hosting its annual bread fair with over 60 food vendors from across New England. The Merry Crown Society
While shopping the Craft & Art Show at the Yarmouth Clam Festival this summer, the team discovered The Merry Crown Society. Shop owner, Bonnie, who hails from Fryeburg, designs whimsical crowns, wands, swords, and masks using felt made from recycled plastic bottles. CP#2 was completely smitten with Bonnie’s booth. If MP allowed it, he would spent hours trying out cool disguises.
